All our 5th graders had a GREAT year!!
Lyric received the PERMANENT COLLECTION AWARD for art. Only one child gets picked out of all the 5th graders! They frame it and hang it in the hall. She didn't know she had won before they called her name. You can see she jumped up so fast her pony tail went flying.
Lyric's hand is in the air... here I am! LOL
Cokie received a team award.
My niece Gabrielle received an award for being one of the top readers in her class.
Lyric also received an award for being one of the top readers in her class. And she earned the presidential award for having top grades. Lyric is in accelerated Math and English.
Lyric received a team award too. She had a big day.
They chose only one boy and one girl to be honored for the most outstanding student. Stafan didn't get it, but his best friend standing by him did!
Stafan did receive an Outstanding Academic Achievement award. And he got an award for being Best Anchorman doing the announcements!
Bret will be a sophomore, Remi will be starting high school and Arden will be starting college and plans on studying accounting. I didn't get a picture of Lael today, but she just finished up her first year of college pursuing a nursing degree.

This is how sad Lyric was about her last EVER day of grade school. : - (( Wow, what a blessing this little thing has been, and to think I thought I was too old to adopt a 2 y.o. We would have missed out on her. This girl loves life! Mike likes to remind me "he" picked her out. He named her too.
Lyric kept getting called up for awards today and at the end of the program a friend told Mike that Lyric was multi-talented. Mike said, "Yeah, that is why we adopt. I wouldn't expect my biological kid to be that talented."
