Letter to Susanne Bettina
Cokie was burned in China and then abandoned in the hospital before she was 1 y.o. It was life and death, and it is a miracle she survived. After many surgeries and months later, she was put in the orphanage. After this picture was taken (I took it) Susanne saw Cokie in the orphanage. I didn't know Susanne at the time, but she put Cokie back in the hospital for 8 months. Meanwhile, by the grace of God we met through a letter and email, even though Susanne didn't know I was trying desperately to have Cokie made paper ready for adoption. When no one else could get this done Susanne got it done within 2 weeks. I had been trying for 5 months. Susanne kept her in the hospital until we were able to adopt her.
This is what Cokie wrote her friend Susanne Bettina the other day from my Facebook. It was the first time Cokie had ever had any contact with Susanne since she left China.
Thank you for saving my life when I was a baby. I really owe you for doing that Susanne. My mom said that I was named after you. I heard that you are a massager maybe you could give me a massage someday to bad that you live in Germany. thanks again write to you later
And this was Susanne's response:
You don"t owe me anything! It was a very great miracle and honor to be at the right place at the right time! Yes, your mom named your second name Bettina after my second name Bettina - so we are connected by name and nobody knows. Yes, I could give you a massage, but I am a Physiotherapist and Osteopath - once we meet I would most likely hug you. : ) You are a living miracle to me! And your parents are the very best that ever could happen in your life!
James 1:25
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
