My beautiful precious Bret. And to tell you just how precious, Lael says, "Bret is everyone's favorite!" Bret was burned in a Chinese orphanage as a baby. Since we got her at age 4 1/2 y.o. she has had several surgeries for her burns.
So this surgery actually was not Monday's surgery. This was a the start of a series of surgeries that Bret had over the winter.

This laser treatment was several weeks after the first surgery above.
This surgery was last Monday! Bret will have several more laser treatments. There are two different types of laser treatments she has. For one type she has to be put to sleep and the other she doesn't. But for either she has to heal 1 - 2 months before she can have another one.

Cokie also has been having surgeries all winter. She was out of school for over two months.
