Our school's homecoming. It was the bomb, as in it bombed... embarrassing. : - )
My niece Erin doing her thing.
Bret is obviously used to me and my camera while her friends look a little like what is the woman doing.
My niece Jenna.
Ahh... there's my Man. All he needed was one more job -- Husband, Father, attorney, professor and now this.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.
Psalm 113:3
Well, you know my two new sons are still trying to work out a few kinks with their behavior at school. It is OK though--really! I know soon they will be perfect little students just like my others. Meanwhile, the teachers and I just keep
plugging along. : - )
His apology letter to his teacher.
The shame of it all...
And, yes Pryor has had a couple bad days also. He claimed to have read some books he didn't actually read.
Me: "Pryor did you cheat in China?"
Pryor: "Yes."
Me: "How many times?"
Pryor: "5"
At least he is honest--sort of.
Then there was the episode of him using the "wrong" finger in the lunch room. Wait a minute! That finger doesn't even mean that in China, so where did he learn it at?! The only place he has been since we got him has been to church, school and home. And, we don't do that at home. And I don't think he learned it at church. Hmmm... turned out he was being a follower at school--I can't stand followers. Anyway, he has now been moved to a different table.
Me: "Boone this is so sweet!"
Boone: "Can I watch TV now?"
Me: "No."
BTW, neither boy has watched TV for a while now. They have to prove they deserve it, and it is killing them, hence the love notes. : - )
Maybe the teachers just aren't strict enough here.
Has she been smokin' crack or what?!
It is so not about you, or me.

Victoria Osteen: “Do good for your own self. Do it
because God wants you to be happy. When you come to church, when you
worship Him, you’re not doing it for God, really — you’re doing it for
yourself, because that’s what makes God happy."
Sammy Allen: "She's a nut!"
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength"
Deuteronomy 6:5
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Philippians 2:4
Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deed
Psalm 150:1-6
Stafan and Shepard are running cross country this year with their cousins Sawyer, Lacy and Avery. I'm really proud of all of them for sticking with such a tough sport. (FYI, if you're new here, my son Stafan is the drop dead gorgeous Chinese boy in the back, and my niece Lacy is next to him; Shepard, Sawyer and Avery are not in this picture).
Lacy asking Remi, "do these shorts make my butt look fast?"
Before they started both schools prayed. Maybe there is hope for America yet, but we had better get busy!
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
Luke 9:26
I'm trying to teach my kids to be comfortable praying in public. At night they take turns praying out loud before bedtime, and so far it seems to be working.
Mike is such a supportive Dad. He goes to most of their games and meets, and when they need help with their school work (which isn't often), but good thing they have him, because I'm not much help. Don't get me wrong I want them to do sports, but mainly for the exercise. And it goes without saying, they had better do well in school. When people find out how many kids we have (12 in case you're confused--two are married and two are in college) they often ask if I homeschool. That is a big NO!!!!! That would scare the kids--they don't trust me, and neither does Mike.
Pryor and Boone watching the runners. They don't look too excited here, because they've both been in the dog house at school. Since they have been with us one year, their grace period for misbehaving is about up. Don't get me wrong, they are really easy, great kids most of the time, but that 1% of the time they act up is going to come to an end.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
