So proud of and happy, excited, relieved for Lael!! Yeah!!
Getting ready to walk across the stage and receive her hard-earned, well-deserved diploma!
And the moment Lael worked her tail off for four years finally arrives ... Marian University's President awards Lael her diploma. Congratulations Lael!
Two days before graduation Lael had her nurse pinning. It was a beautiful Christian ceremony.
The nuns and professors gave the students their blessing. Lael told me later this was her favorite part.
Lael is a great role model for her younger siblings and cousins--both in terms of the example her success at Marian gives them and the way she lives out her faith.
Lael's best friend, Elise, asked me if I wanted her to take the pictures. Yes!!
Me: "She acts like the man of her dreams gave it to her."
Elise: "Yep."
Seriously, Lael isn't ready for that stuff! Ha!
Lael's best friend Elise. She is a sweetie through and through!!
Lael adores this girl! Not only is she an exceptional Christian, she was #1 in their class!!
One of Lael's professors.
Lael's favorite professor.
This professor told Mike and me she was very disappointed Lael did not get a special award and said she did push for it. I can't say I was really disappointed, but I was a little surprised. Lael does stand out. She is driven, sincere and, well . . . Lael is an original. She always has been from the start--good or bad, Lael is an honest and "very" out going person. Actually, it's always good with Lael; it is just she sometimes says what she thinks--completely unfiltered. Hm,m... where could she get that? Well, I might have enhanced this trait, but she did come with it. I remember when she was young she went up to my friend and said, "You're not going to carry that purse are you?" Now Lael would never say something like that to be mean. She would only say that to help--just like me. LOL
